Pradeep, a middle-aged man, was associated with a political party in the past. He was suspended from it, allegedly due to misdemeanors. Later, two cases were slapped on him by the police of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.
Despite the cases pending against him, Pradeep didn't stop from committing more crimes (allegedly). Working as an employee at a food centre, he allegedly doubled up as a conman and deceived several people by promising to get them government 2BHK flats in Hyderabad. A victim gave him Rs 4 lakh, believing that he will use his clout with government officials and get her allotted a flat. A few days later, he created a fake allotment certificate and gave it to her. Later, when GHMC told the victim that the letter is fake, she lodged a police complaint.
The police then hunted for Pradeep and found him at a place in Banjara Hills earlier this week. On Friday, the accused was presented in a city court.
