Hyderabad: 23 journos test positive; KCR to ramp up testing

The media industry in Hyderabad on Sunday received a setback with 23 journalists testing positive for Covid-19. More than 140, including their family members, were tested.
So far, more than 50 journalists have been confirmed to be corona positive in the city. "Some of them have recovered with just home isolation. They didn't need treatment," a report says.
Manoj Kumar of TV5 succumbed to the viral infection last week.
KCR announces a ramp-up
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that more than 50,000 people will be tested for Covid-19 by June 25. As many as 30 assembly constituencies in the State have been chosen. Constituencies in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Sangareddy and Vikarabad districts have been zeroed in on.
In Hyderabad, areas such as Uppal, LB Nagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Rajendra Nagar, Serilingampally, Malkajgiri, Qutbullapur, Kukatpally, Malakpet, Amberpet, Musheerabad, Khairtabad, and Jubilee Hills have been chosen.
