Hyd: Madhulatha becomes first female officer to lead L&O PS

A police officer who was recruited to the police department in 2002 has become Hyderabad's first woman officer to lead a law-and-order police station. The Hyderabad police has a history of 175 years. Named K Madhulatha, she hails from Telangana and is 42.
The woman officer will be leading as a station house officer (SHO) of Lallaguda police station in the north zone of Hyderabad City Police. She took charge on Tuesday in the presence of Telangana Home Minister Md Mahmood Ali.
"In Hyderabad city Police a Woman Inspector, K.Madhulatha takes charge as SHO Lalaguda (L&O PS) in the presence of Hon’ble Home Minister of Telangana Sri. Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Sri. CV Anand IPS Commissioner of Police,#firstwomaninspector #lalagudaps #hyderabadcitypolice (sic)," tweeted the Hyderabad Police.
Madhulatha, as per the official statement, was the first woman officer to head the IT Corridor Women Police station in Hyderabad in 2014. The PS comprised fully of women officers.
The officer has exuded confidence that she will deliver L&O successfully.
