Hyd: Have KTR's & police directives helped hostel inmates?

Right since Monday, it has been chaos in areas such as Ameerpet in Hyderabad because several hostels announced a closure following the lockdown everywhere. Hostel owners and landlords asked inmates to vacate because they can't accommodate them anymore. Thousands of hostel students came out in Ameerpet, SR Nagar, and Madhapur to leave for hometowns by taking police permission forms on Wednesday, causing a health risk in times of Coronavirus.
Following the melee, KTR on Wednesday instructed the police department to issue a blanket directive to hostel owners to allow their inmates to stay in the hostels during the lockdown. "All Hostels/PG Managements are here be informed that, to continue to accommodate and house the students without any disruption. Don’t pressurize the inmates to vacate. as lockdown in Telangana," the Cyberabad Police said.
This doesn't solve the problem by any measure. The damage has already been done, as thousands queued up at police stations on Ugadi day. Secondly, hostel owners won't be able to feed their inmates when there is a shortage of groceries, milk, etc. Looks like it has become too messy!
