The entertainment business HYBE, which is behind international hits like BTS, has reacted to recent claims made by NewJeans members' parents. After the parents sent HYBE an email, the company criticized ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and refuted claims of plagiarism.
According to Soompi, HYBE denounced Min Hee-jin for purportedly using artists and their families in conflicts for personal gain. Citing proof that the email was authored by Vice President L and Min Hee-jin herself, the company asserted that Min Hee-jin was the one who sent it to NewJeans' parents.
HYBE made clear in their statement that they had already addressed the email on April 16 and denied any plagiarism. They also called the claim that carelessness contributed to the ADOR catastrophe "a one-sided argument."
HYBE charged that Min Hee Jin had planned the email as a means of undermining their authority. They denounced the usage of artists and their families for personal benefit and voiced dissatisfaction in her activities.
A request to stop misleading the public and to value the artists was made at the end of the statement.
Previously on March 31, NewJeans' parents had sent an email to the ADOR CEO voicing worries about how HYBE was handling the group. Citing fears of future exploitation of NewJeans, they called for a demonstration against HYBE.
