Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Friday issued a statement against rumour-mongers who have been on a relentless campaign against her ever since she announced her divorce. Without taking names, the star actress expressed disappointment with the rumours alleging that she has had abortions.

Saying that a divorce in itself is an extremely painful process, the 'Majili' star said that the attack on her has been relentless. "But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me," she added.

She began the statement by saying that people's emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed her. She thanked her well-wishers for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending her against fake stories. She also referred to the rumours that called her an opportunist. The 'Jaanu' actress hinted that there is no truth in the rumour that she didn't want to have children.
