In an interview that has now become a mini-sensation, Posani Krishna Murali yesterday came out frankly on Boyapati Sreenu. "I have nothing against Boyapati. But I am hurt because of his behaviour. He hails from a very modest family. His father was a watch-man and his brother (Boyapati Brahmayya) owned a photo studio that fetched very limited income. When he was in that state of poor economic condition, Brahmayya approached me with a request to help his brother out in cinema. He asked me to ensure work for Sreenu on a permanent basis. I did it through Muthyala Subbaiah," Posani said, expressing his anguish by also imitating how Boyapati would fold his both hands in reverence during those days.
"When my directorial 'Shravana Masam' flopped, Boyapati came to my house in my absence and told my wife, 'We know how to make a film as we are in direction department. But since sir has no experience, he wouldn't know. From now onwards, how are you going to pay the bills?'. Since my wife is educated and well-read, she kept silent. She felt sad and told me, 'How could he say those words? We helped him so much'. When there was medical emergency in his family, it was I who came to his help. He literally stood at our door steps, weeping. I assured him of all financial help and asked him to use my car to ferry to the hospital," a seemingly hurt Posani said in the interview.
