The brutal rape and murder of 8 year old Asifa has seen several celebrities taking to social media to urge extreme punishment to the rapists and murderers and also call for vigilance by parents of children. Actres Nivetha Pethuraj has released a video in which she has revealed that she too underwent sexual abuse as a child and has requested parents to educate their children right from age two to understand and differentiate inappropraite touching by others.
Nivetha has stated that most of the sexual crimes against children are committed by close friends, relatives and neighbours. The 'Oru Naal Koothu' heroine has requested men to form groups and keep vigil in the nights and if something shady happens to intervene and help those women and children in trouble. Nivetha has also let out that nowadays she is afraid to go out and is finding it difficult to trust anyone after the recent happenings.
