Ramgopal Varma's controversial project 'Bezawada Rowdilu' has now led to relay hunger strikes in Vijayawada.

Just a few days after Vijayawada Police commissioner ordered cops to verify scenes and script of the film following the complaint by lawyers that the movie was tarnishing the image of the city, an organisation is now holding hunger strike against the film title.

Vijayawada Old City development committee and its members are on a relay hunger strike from Monday demanding RGV to change the title. They allege that 'Bezawada Rowdilu' is a very misleading title and that it will ruin the city's image further.

"As it is there is no development in Vijayawada. This movie potrays the city as a hub of criminals and gang wars. This will be nail in the coffin for the city that is already suffering from stagnation in infrastructure development. RGV is humiliating Vijayawada. We want him to change the title immediately" said Kaleshwara Rao, leader of Vijayawada Old city development committee.

However, controversy hungry Varma is reluctant to change the title.
