Human skeleton smuggling busted in railways station

On Tuesday, Railway Police in Bihar's Patna arrested a smuggler for possessing about 50 human skeletons.  The accused Sanjay Prasad is said to be a corpse smuggler.

The suspect was allegedly transporting the skeletons from Balia in UP.  His aim was to safely transport them to China through Bhutan.

The police have seized the currencies of Nepal and Bhutan (which suggests the racket is a cross-border one), a few debit cards, two identity cards and more from the suspect.

Why would anyone want human skeletons?  They are mostly demanded by medical students, a report says.

Similar incidents have come to light in the past.  The haul then was much bigger than the latest one.
