Huge Relief For Pushpa 2 Producers In Court Case

The producers of the Pushpa-2 movie have received relief in the case registered with the Pushpa-2 show and the Sandhya Theater Stampede incident. The police have been directed to continue the investigation against Yelamanchili Ravi Shankar and Yerneni Naveen (Mythri movies producer) and not to arrest them.

The Chikkadapalli police registered the case in the wake of the death of a woman named Revathi in the stampede that took place at the theater on the 4th of last month. Justice K. Sujana inquired into the petition filed by Ravi Shankar and Naveen. They sought the court to quash the case.

The petitioner's lawyer, N. Naveen Kumar, argued that the petitioners had nothing to do with the incident. He said that none of the charges mentioned in the FIR apply to them. He said that the producers' office staff had informed the theater management and police officers that hero Allu Arjun was coming to the theater. He said senior officers, the ACP and DCP, came to the theater on the day of the incident and inspected the security.

After hearing the arguments, the judge issued an interim order not to arrest the petitioners. He ordered the petitioners to cooperate with the investigation. Notices were issued to the police and the complainant to file a counter-affidavit.
