With over one dozen film personalities in the fray for 15 Karnataka State Assembly election slated for May 12, the entry of Huchcha Venkat was not a surprise.

Huchcha Venkat seeing many downfalls in life and crazy person in life has decided to contest Assembly elections from Raja Rajeshwari Assembly seat.

Huchcha Venkat known for his dialogues in social life ‘Nan Magand…Nan Ekkada’ gets ‘Ekkada’ (Chappal) as symbol from election commission. It is not ladies chappal from men chappal is his symbol. Huchcha Venkat original name is L Venkata Ram.

In one of his films Huchcha Venkat asks a character ‘Have you on any day bought a chappal to your father’. From that day his dialogue was popular. Everywhere he started using this dialogue = Nan Magand and Nan Ekkada!

Huchcha Venkat as independent candidate is taking on heavy weight from cinema industry Munirathna Naidu of Congress I, P M Muniraju Gowda of BJP and G H Ramachandra of JDS.
