Amitabh Bachchan's classic film 'Satte Pe Satta' is being planned for a remake. Raj N Sippy, the director of the original flick believes that Hrithik Roshan is the best choice for playing Amitabh Bachchan's character. However, Hrithik has been approached with the project but he turned it down as he didn't wanted to star in another remake of a Amitabh Bachchan film after starring in 'Agneepath'. Instead of this, Hrithik would rather concentrate on his father film.
'Satte Pe Satta' has achieved a cult status over years but it still one of Big B's less popular flicks. When asked about the female lead if the movie, Raj N Sippy says, "I really cannot say anything; I have given away the rights of the film, but the discussion on the remake has been there for quite some time. Sanjay (Dutt) was doing the film when I sold the Hindi remake rights of the film to Ashtavinayak, but then the company got into trouble and they resold the rights to some other production house".
Talking about the success of the original, Sippy said, "I was plain lucky, I had a good team and such brilliant actors who lived like brothers. When you have such a conducive environment, everything falls into place."
