Hrithik Roshan posted a photo of him on crutches, sharing that he got an injury. The update was shared on his Instagram account. He said it happened because of the muscle pull and reflected on how he felt about being strong. Speaking about his grandfather's injury, he really underlined that it was rather about pressures and expectations on men to be strong, even if they are experiencing any kind of physical difficulties.
Hrithik leans on crutches in casual attire in the mirror selfie. He had then asked his followers to share their stories of walking with crutches or wheelchairs, saying that his grandfather refused to use a wheelchair because, according to him, it would have meant showing weakness in front of strangers.
Hrithik lamented society's pressure for a man to be like a soldier—continuously strong. According to him, it forces one to deny help, even when it is needed medically, for the sake of pretending to be masculine.
The actor has put much emphasis on the idea of challenging such stereotypes and on encouraging a healthier form of masculinity, in which one would practice more self-care and accept being vulnerable.
