How 'RRR' escaped a major headache in Hindi

The Day 1 box office figures are out. As expected, 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' took to less-than-outstanding openings in Hindi on Friday (release date). The reason is obvious, as has been stated by analysts. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are not as popular as Prabhas among the Hindi audience. The other reason is that there is 'The Kashmir Files'.
The trend is clear, though. 'RRR', thanks to its enjoyable content, is going to dislodge 'TKF' slowly and surely. 'RRR' will become a dominant player in Hindi this weekend.
While the narrative is that 'RRR' is unlucky to have collected less-than-exceptional figures in Hindi on Day 1, there is a silver lining. The Rajamouli directorial is actually a beneficiary of a fortuitous event. 'RRR' was supposed to hit the screens on March 18. It was postponed to March 25 because 'Radhe Shyam' picked March 11. But nobody knew that 'The Kashmir Files' was going to be a monster hit. Had 'RRR' stuck to March 18, 'TKF' would have given it a major blow in its first week. Yes, collections would have been decent, but 'RRR' would have had to compete with 'TKF'. Yes, 'TKF' too is lucky that way because 'RRR' got postponed. It's a win-win for both films when looked in isolation.
