Nivin Pauly admitted that he had to keep asking to finally get Jerry's role in 'Jacobinte Swargarajyam'. Initially Vineeth himself had decided to play the role and even Dhyan was considered. Nivin says that he repeatedly asked Vineeth for the role. He called up the movie's producers to let him play the role. He even asked Vineeth's close friend and music director Shaan Rahmaan to recommend him.

Nivin says that he loved the story as soon as he heard it and wanted to have Jerry's role badly. He even acted out sequences and watsapped the videos to Vineeth. Vineeth says that Nivin had the maturity to carry out Jerry perfectly and he has done a neat job of it. 'Jacobinte Swargarajyam' is doing well at the box office.
