The thinking actress Nithya Menon surprised everyone by dubbing for her role in her very first Telugu film, Ala Modalaindi. How did she pick up on a new language? The Malayalam girl says that she used to ask everyone on the sets to talk to her only in Telugu. In this way, it was not difficult for her to grasp the language and understand the nuances.

Seeing the steady progress she was making in speaking Telugu, Nandini Reddy, the film's director, could not decline her offer to dub for her role.

The talented actress has prominently acted in a number of Malayalam films, the most popular among them being Akasha Gopuram, which was released in 2008. In the recent times, Urumi has brought her laurels in three South Indian languages. She has a Kannada film scheduled to release soon. Besides, she has signed on two Malayalam films.

Coming to Telugu, Nithya Menon's next film is titled as Ishq, where she will be seen opposite Nitin.
