Has Ram Charan just managed to avert a controversy for his father? Could he have unwittingly created a political embarrassment for Chiranjeevi, the Rajya Sabha MP and Congress member? That seems to be the case. Cherry had agreed to participate in a charity event hosted by Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) at PNC Art Centre in New Jersey the other day. Touted as a fund-raising event christened 'Humanity United Against Terror', the event was not an apolitical event, though. Attended by the Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, the event is now in news for political reasons.

A poster put up there in the premises of the event (attended by the likes of Prabhu Deva and Shriya Saran) projected Hillary Clinton and Sonia Gandhi as conspiring against Narendra Modi when he was the CM of Gujarat. The poster has been widely commented upon by sections of the media.

In all probability, Charan liked to perform LIVE for the first time in US as he thought the event was of apolitical nature. Perhaps later sensing that the event could assume political overtones, Charan decided not to perform there by excusing himself in the last minute.
