Amitabh Bachchan's allergy towards using artificial beards toppled the plans of film maker Riuparno Ghosh who wanted Big B to have a particular look in the recently released film 'The Last Lear'.

Rituparno had the late legendary writer Rabindranath Tagore's face in mind as he was thinking of a refreshing way for presenting the protagonist of his first English movie.

Long flowing white hair coupled with unkempt beard was what the director cherished in his imagination.

When he came to know that it is very uncomfortable for Mr.Bachchan to use fake facial hair, the only possible solution was changing his pre decided ideas.

Thus the thought of the flowing white beard was left behind and Big B appeared in just with the wig.

Even if Big B had used a beard it would not have created much difference as now after the release of the movie, he has proved with his superb portrayal of the lead character that it is acting what matters and if it is top class, the looks can take the backseat.
