The positive spill-over effect of 'Baahubali-2' is expected to reach the shores of Tollywood in a big way. The unprecedented success of the magnum opus has been a morale booster of sorts. Moreover, it has won respect of Hindi audiences towards South Indian-style 'masala' stories.
For years, the watchers of dubbed Telugu films on Sony Max and the like have been bracing up for more such stuff.
As if on cue, like never before, technically superior films are being made in Tollywood. Mahesh Babu-starrer 'Spyder' and NTR's 'Jai Lava Kusa' come to mind. These are going to easily get more-than-ordinary TRPs on national television. Allu Arjun's 'DJ' is also billed to turn in impressive TRPs.
After 'Baahubali-2', the currency of our-kind-of-movies has definitely increased. Just as college campus films earned higher amounts from distributors after 'Nuvve Kavali' and 'Nuvvu Nenu' in early 2000s, the same is expected to happen in case of big-budget Telugu films, thanks to Rajamouli's magnum opus.
Truly, 'Baahubali-2' has not only enriched its producers/distributors, but also is going to do the same for others.
