'Hanu-Man' not only captivated audiences but also emerged as a box office sensation, proudly joining the exclusive club of Telugu films that surpassed the 200-crore mark. Its success resonates internationally, with noteworthy collections in the Northern regions and record-breaking performances in the overseas market.
Featuring Teja Sajja as the protagonist, Amrita Aiyer as the leading lady, and Vinay Rai as the antagonist, this cinematic masterpiece is the brainchild of K Niranjan Reddy from PrimeShow Entertainments. 'Hanu-Man' made its mark in various languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Kannada. Directed by the talented Prashanth Varma, the film astounds audiences with its breathtaking visual effects (VFX).
Prashanth Varma shared insights into how AI and ChatGPT played a pivotal role in elevating the glory of 'Hanu-Man.' He emphasized the transformative impact of AI, recounting how he first recognized its potential when designing the movie poster. Prompt engineering, now considered a coveted tech job, involves training generative AI tools like ChatGPT to produce results aligned with creative visions.
Varma's team at the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe utilized Midjourney, an AI tool generating images from natural language descriptions, to craft the visually stunning poster for 'Hanu-Man.' The collaboration with AI prompt engineers became integral to harnessing the power of AI technology.
Known for his larger-than-life creations, Varma, acclaimed for films like 'Awe' and 'Zombie Reddy,' acknowledges the role of AI and its collaborative potential. Through an Instagram post, Varma announced the recruitment of AI prompt engineers for his production team, aiming to build a talent pool that embraces AI in the creative process.
Moving forward with the second installment based on Lord Ram, Varma, alongside prompt engineer Rama Krishna (RK), engages with advanced software applications like Midjourney, Dalle, and ChatGPT4 to fine-tune prompts. This collaborative effort ensures the generation of content aligning precisely with their creative vision, supporting the work of writers and artists.
Varma emphasizes that AI's role extends beyond storytelling, permeating various aspects of filmmaking, including animation, music, and writing. AI's influence is evident in the creation of characters, such as one entirely generated for 'Hanu-Man,' followed by the application of 3D modeling for the final look.
While acknowledging the traditional roots of Indian cinema, Varma envisions technology adapting to enhance the narrative crafting process. He contemplates a future where AI seamlessly tailors movies to individual preferences, underscoring the rapid evolution where "AI will adapt faster to us than we will adapt to AI."
