'Housefull' was an out and out comic entertainer and one expected the sequel to continue the trend as well. However Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have different plans for their multi starrer flick. This time around they haven't stuck to just comedy and have instead incorporated quite a few action sequences into the narrative as well. This isn't all as these action sequences won't have a humorous tone to them and would be instead designed as a serious affair.

"Yes, there is quite a lot of action in 'Housefull 2' and right from Akshay Kumar and John Abraham to Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade would be a part of this action. With the film we are building 'Housefull' as an all-around entertainment franchise. So it won't be just comedy that you would be seeing here; instead there would be quite a few other 'masala' ingredients sprinkled as well," says Sajid Khan.

With music by Sajid-Wajid, 'Housefull 2' boasts of a huge cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade and Shazahn Padamsee along with veterans like Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor with Chunkey Pandey and Johny Lever adding on to the comic fun. The film releases all over on 1st June, immediately after the conclusion of IPL 5.
