தமிழகத்திற்கு தரவேண்டிய காவிரி நீரை கர்நாடக அரசு தொடர்ந்து கொடுக்க மறுத்து கொண்டே வருகிறது. தமிழக முதல்வரின் தீவிர முயற்சியால் தற்போது சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட், தமிழகத்திற்கு காவிரியில் இருந்து தண்ணீர் திறந்துவிடுமாறு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
இதனால் இருமாநில எல்லையில் பதட்டம் நிறைந்து காணப்படும் நிலையில் பிரபல கன்னட நடிகை ராகினி திவேதி சர்ச்சைக்குரிய ஒரு கருத்தை தனது சமூக வலைத்தளத்தில் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
காவிரி நம்முடையது. கர்நாடக மக்களுக்கே குடிப்பதற்கு தண்ணீர் இல்லை. பின் எதற்காக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு தண்ணீர் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். இதை எதிர்த்து நாம் அனைவரும் குரல் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். இதற்காக நான் போராட தயார். என்னுடன் வாருங்கள்' என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.
நடிகை திரிவேணி கன்னட திரையுலகில் பிரபல என்பதும் தமிழில் இவர் ஜெயம் ரவி நடித்த 'நிமிர்ந்து நில்' என்ற படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார் என்பதும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
