Khushbu has filed a case in the High Court against the authorities who have denied her passport citing pending criminal cases against her. It is learnt the actress and Congress spokesperson`s passport had run out of pages and she applied for attachments. The authorities had told her that it is not possible and she has to apply for a new passport.

Khushbu was in for a shock when she applied for a new passport when the authorities denied it pointing to criminal cases pending against her. In her court petition Khushbu has stated that during the last election campaigns criminal cases were filed against her in Madurai, Theni and Dindigul for illegal gathering of people and disobeying a government officer. Khushbu has procured a stay against these cases in the Madurai branch of the High Court and has also got anticipatory bail. She has prayed the court to direct the Regional Passport Office to issue her a passport as she is unable to travel abroad. The Court has ordered the concerned authorities to reply in this matter.
