Amala Paul has bought a Mercedez Benz car registered in Pondicherry and contoversy shrouded it as reports suggested that she violated transport rules in the country and also evaded tax. Some reports even went as far as saying that the 'Myna' girl may be arrested in this regard.
Puducherry Transport Minister, Shahjahan has put an end to the controversy stating that a vehicle puchased in one state and used in another is usually allotted a temporary permit valid for one year before which the registration should be changed paying the stipulated fees and taxes. Amala had bought the vehicle on 8.8.2017 and she obviously has another good nine months time.
Further it was alleged that Amala had also provided fake supporting documents which the minister again squashed stating that she had provided a rental agreement as well as an affidavit which was required.
