As reported earlier today, Sourav Ganguly suffered a heart attack and has been hospitalized at Kolkata's Woodlands Hospital. We have the latest updated on the legendary former cricketer's status.
As per Dr. Rupali Basu, the MD of Woodlands, Ganguly is stable haemodynamically. "He has received loading doses of dual anti-platelets and statin and is undergoing primary angioplasty now," the MD said a while ago.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted as soon as the news about Ganguly suffering a heart attack came out. "Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!" the TMC chief wrote on Twitter.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, who is close to Ganguly, tweeted, "I wish and pray for the speedy recovery of @SGanguly99. I’ve spoken to his family. Dada is stable and is responding well to the treatment."
