Director Sundar C had last directed the action entertainer Action, starring Vishal, Tamannaah, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Akanksha Puri, and this movie which was produced by Trident Arts on a huge budget received mixed response and did not perform well at the box office.

After Action, Sundar C is set to get back to his zone, as he has planned to launch the third part of his hit series Aranmanai. Aranmanai which had Vinay, Andrea, Raai Laxmi and Hansika Motwani and Aranmanai 2 which had Siddharth, Trisha and Hansika Motwani, both were commercially successful.

Now the latest speculation making rounds is that Aranmanai 3 might have Arya and Raashi Khanna as the lead pair, and might also have comedians Yogi Babu and Vivek joining them. This movie will again have Sundar C in an important role and Sun pictures is expected to produce the movie. An official announcement on Aranmanai 3 is expected soon.
