Yesteryears stunner on silver screen Tiger Prabhakar (of 400 films) son Vinod Prabhakar has a good time in `Hori' another remake of the week. It is `Meese Madhavan' remake in Kannada, coming after nine years.
The action portion, replica look of his father, dialogue delivery and his physique once again like his father - Vinod Prabhakar is the winner from this film. He has done half a dozen films in the past. He has given his best.
A thief for good cause Krishna (Vinod Prabhakar) is always in a tussle with Doddanna the cruel money lender in the village. Krishna knows how to rob from the house of money lender. The power and anger of Krishna is not liked by the daughter of Doddanna and obviously some more charges mount up. When Doddanna makes false accusations Krishna takes it seriously. The false quandary of father even worries Rukmini. She comes very close to Krishna after the false charges made by her father.
The loss of idol in the village temple further disturbs the peace of Krishna but he courageously finds the culprit who is none other than the cop of the village.
Vinod Prabhakar reminds his father very often. He has a good future but get a right director for becoming another action hero of Kannada cinema.
Gowri Manjal has given a worthwhile performance. In one of the two songs she looks glorious. Ramanithu Chaudhary portions could have been avoided. Doddanna steals the show with dialogue delivery. It is a surprise from journalist turned actor Sureschandra. He has maintained good timing and it is a nice transformation for Surechandra. He was in serious roles in Kannada films so far. Tennis Krishna, Nagashekhar, Bullet Prakash supported well.
MR Seenu made several scenes look like a picture. Renukumar marriage song, two dream songs - Kogilegu Mujugurave. and Beladingala Yee Cheluveya Kathe Kelalu.are melodious.
This is a film for action and trick based film lovers.
Score - 7/10
