Speaking at the success meet of A Aa held in Hyderabad yesterday night, Trivikram Srinivas spoke in response to the media's criticism that novelist Yeddanapudi Sulochanarani hasn't been given credit for the story of his latest film. "I had met my favourite novelist (Yeddanapudi) before the film's launch and discussed her about my film. I wanted to give her credit, but due to certain technical difficulties, it was not possible. Our technical team has since worked on it and inserted a slide. Now that the issue is closed, I hope web media puts a full-stop to it," he said.
Trivikram has been facing criticism from sections of the media for naming the novelist as the creator of the root story. A Aa is a family entertainer and rom-com based on the novel 'Meena'. Vijaya Nirmala as a debutante director adapted the novel into a film way back in 1971.
Samantha was in for praise from her director on the occasion. "I haven't seen a hardworking girl like Samantha. She did four big movies simultaneously. They were very taxing schedules. Yet, she worked tirelessly," Trivikram said.
Trivikram also revealed that it was on Samantha's prodding that he wrote A Aa with heart. "When we were shooting for S/o Sathyamurthy, Samantha happened to tell me that when I talk with heart, why can't I write with heart. This made me think of doing a film like A Aa," the 'Matala Mantrikudu' said.
