Srikanth and Meena will be honoured at a function to be organised in Chennai by Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association as part of the annual ‘Ugadi Puraskar' celebrations.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, association's president B Srinivas said Sri Kala Sudha has been honouring film personalities for their achievements. “The awards will be given in 14 categories, including those for best director, music director, playback singer and screenplay,” he said.

While Telugu movie ‘Mahathma' has been chosen as the Best Film, Srikanth and Meena have been adjudged best actors. Various cultural programmes would also be conducted as part of the Ugadi celebrations at the Music Academy, he said.

Nine women from various fields, including legendary playback singer P Susheela, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and actress and Member of Parliament Jayapradha would be honoured as part of International Women's Day celebrations, Srinivas added.
