Kollywood actor Robo Shankar was recently seen in movies like Vikram's 'Cobra'. He has acted alongside the likes of Superstar Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, Thala Ajith, and Dhanush in recent years.

The actor is in the news because the Tamil Nadu Wildlife Crime Control Bureau has slapped a fine of Rs 2.5 lakh for allegedly keeping two Alexandrine parakeets at his residence.

How did the offence come to the notice of the authorities? Sources say the authorities were alerted by unknown persons who watched a home tour video of Robo Shankar's house. In short, what he did for fun has come to haunt him. Some reports put the fine amount at Rs 5 lakh.

Shankar faced legal trouble after the Forest Department raided his house and confiscated two rare breeds of parrots that were raised by him as pets. It is reported that the controversial parrots were gifted to Shankar's daughter Indraja when she was shooting for Vijay's 'Bigil' and hence they were named as Bigil and Angel.
