Hitmaking director turns farmer

A day ago, we had reported that popular actor Sudheer Karamana turned a farmer to make his lockdown days productive. Here's another celeb from the M'Town who awakened the farmer inside him. It is Mollywood's hitmaking director Lal Jose.

The director-actor is at his house in Kondazhy now. With the guidance of his neighbour, Lal Jose had cultivated Peas, banana, tapioca, yam, colocasia, and several fruit trees on his 1.40 acre land. In an interview with Mathrubhumi, Lal Jose detailed about his farming, who also surprised his family by cultivating enough vegetables for the daily requirement.

“Last December, we got a good harvest of vegetables from the kitchen garden. So, we had the opportunity to have fresh organic vegetables for the whole month without purchasing any vegetables from the market. Now, I’m planning to rear chicken and cow,” said Lal Jose, who has Mombin, mangosteen, passion fruit, rambutan, miracle fruit, papaya, mulberry, Malabar tamarind (Kudampuli) and nutmeg trees as well.

Talking about his upcoming project, Lal Jose revealed that he was planning to shoot a movie with newcomers from April 15. With the lockdown, the shoot has been pushed. The upcoming movie will also be produced under his home banner LJ films.
