Starting from Wednesday, the Ameerpet-Hitec City stretch will have its metro with five metro stations. It will be inaugurated by Governor ESL Narasimhan. There are nine stations (if Ameerpet is also included) in total along the stretch. Due to the ongoing construction activities, the Jubilee Hills Check Post, Peddamma temple and Madhapur stations won't be thrown open for commuters.
The much-awaited stretch is 10 km long. Taruni-Madhura Nagar, Yousufguda, Jubilee Hills Road No 5, Durgam Cheruvu and Hitec city will start functioning from tomorrow.
What about the frequency of the metro trains between Ameerpet and Hitec City? The authorities say that it will be 9-12 minutes. Along the other routes, it's 6 minutes. Additional trains will be added in due course of time.
The Jubilee Hills Check Post station is a single-level station, unlike others, which are two-level stations. This is due to technical difficulties.
