The makers of 'SR Kalyanamandapam' are elated that their film is garnering an encouraging response all over. The first weekend was quite good, with the distributors inching closer towards breakeven figures. The Kiran Abbavaram-written movie made a very good pre-release business before its release.
Starring Kiran, Sai Kumar and Priyanka Jawalkar, 'SRK' is coming in for additional theatres. "We are adding extra shows in several centres due to the increasing demand from the audience," the makers have said.
Box office analysts are of the view that the film is the first hit after the second-wave lockdown. Its success is said to have driven Dil Raju to release Vishwak Sen's 'Paagal' on August 14.
'SRK' posted impressive numbers not only in the Telugu States but also in the US, that too at a time when cases are going up in that country. The Sridhar Gade directorial has been fortunate to have arrived at the cinemas at a time when the impending threat of the third wave has subsided to an extent.
