Actor Arun Vijay had teamed with director Arivazhagan, known for the hit thriller Eeram, for the medical crime thriller Kuttram 23 in 2017. The movie which had Arun Vijay playing a police officer, also starred Mahima Nambiar, Abhinaya, Amit, Vamsi Krishna and was a commercial success.

Following this movie, Arivazhagan was supposed to direct a movie starring Lady Superstar Nayanthara, but as the project is getting delayed, the latest speculation making rounds is that, Arivazhagan might yet again join hands with his Kuttram 23 hero Arun Vijay.

Arun Vijay is currently acting in Agni Siragugal, Boxer, AV 30 with GNR Kumaravelan, and it is expected that the actor will start working with Arivazhagan after these movies. The actor's next release will be the action entertainer Mafia directed by Karthick Naren and co-starring Prasanna.
