With Bangalore-based Sailum Zen Monastery coming out in the open to say that 7th Sense the film wrongly portrayed the history related to the legendary master, Bodhidharma, questions are being raised about the veracity of some references made in the AR Murugadoss film.

According to the founder of the aforesaid institution, Bodhidharma never fought with anyone and he traveled to China at the age of 150 years.

In the film, however, Bodhidharma is shown as a martial arts exponent, a married person and who crossed over to China as a young man.

The head of the Monastery says that this is distortion of the history as per one's convenience.

If these facts about Bodhidharma are indeed true and Murugadoss had gone with this version of history, Surya would have looked older by at least 125 years. More importantly, as a Buddhist monk he could not have fought that expensively-shot first fight. Imagine 7th Sense sans all the fights and heroism!
