After launching the first ever Hip-hop music album in Tamil, independent musical Hiphop Tamizha attracted the attention of Kollywood and he is a now leading young music director in Tamil film industry who also writes lyrics.
The highly talented youngster has ventured into acting, screen writing and direction for the film titled as 'Meesaya Murukku' which has been produced by director Sundar.C.
The announcement of the project comes as a surprise in the form of a trailer. Now let's see what the impression we get from the trailer of 'Meesaya Murukku'.
Hiphop Tamizha has always reiterated his Tami pride and Mahakavi Bharathiyar is his inspirational poet. The film's title 'Meesaya Murukku' (Twist the Mustache) itself follows a gesture regarded as an expression of Tamil pride and valour and Murukkiya Meesai is Bharathi's identity. The lyrics in the background song boasts of the Tamil pride and there is also a conscious Bharathiyar reference in the trailer itself.
From the trailer, it looks like it will be the story of a normal youngster's inspirational journey to fame as an independent musician. In a way, it looks auto-fictional but we will have to wait and watch the film to conclude about this.
The film has many debutants in star cast as well as the technical crew. Veteran Vivekh plays Hiphop Tamizha's father in the film and the combination scenes between the two promise to be hilarious as well as emotional.
There is also a college love angle and enough scope for action. Hiphop Tamizha who makes his debut as a hero with this film looks fit in action scenes and carries of comedy scenes with ease.
His music adds value to the proceedings. UK Senthilkumar and Kiruthi Vasan have done the camera work.
From the trailer we could expect a full fledged commercial entertainer with comedy, love, sentiment, action and also a morale-boosting message for aspiring young talents.
