A Hindu shopkeeper named Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan's Udaipur was today beheaded by two men belonging to a particular community. They released a video in which they claimed that they had killed the Hindu man for supporting BJP leader Nupur Sharma's recent comments allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad.
The SP of Udaipur has reportedly confirmed the murder. A search is on for the murderers. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that the killers won't be spared. He promised to take strict action against them. In view of the communal nature of the incident, the CM appealed for calm.
Shockingly, the killers videographed their heinous act. They also threatened that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be assassinated.
The BJP, meanwhile, has accused the Congress of enabling such a heinous act by appeasing Islamists ever since it came to power in 2018 in the State.
