Pandit Ashok Sharma, vice-president of the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) has expressed the Mahasabha's happiness at the defeat of the strategies adopted by RSS which attempted to take the 'credit' of killing 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi away from the Mahasabha by stating that Gandhiji died not by Nathuram Godse`s bullets but by a 'mysterious' fourth bullet.
Mumbai's Pankaj Phadnis moved the Supreme Court reuesting it to re-open the investigation into the 1948 assassination of Mahatma Ganhi. However, Amrender Saran, appointed by the apex Court to review the tenability of the case, made it clear to the Court that it was absolutely certain that Gandhiji was felled by Nathuram Godse's bullets and said that there was no need to re-open the investigation again.
Welcoming this, Sharma said "It was Hindu Mahasabha which assassinated Gandhiji. However, RSS attempted to take the 'credit' away from us by stating that Gandhiji actually died from a fourth bullet fired mysteriously by someone. The combined conspiracy of RSS and BJP in this regard has been blown to smithereens.
"After we assassinated Gandhiji, RSS severed its relations with us and later aligned with Congress Jawaharlal Nehru. In reality, RSS is the traitor of exposing the Hindu Mahasabha. Now that it has been clearly said that there is no need to investigate the murder again, RSS strategy has been badly exposed," Sharma concluded.
