Hindu family donates land for Muslim burial ground

In what has been described by the media as an example of religious barriers being broken by the common Indian, a Hindu family from Assam is in the news for donating a piece of land for the "expansion of an Islamic burial ground".
"The family has donated about 0.84 acre of land. The burial ground abuts a Hindu crematorium," a report says.
A Muslim body has felicitated the Hindu family for the "kind gesture". "We express our sincere gratitude to all the people who have made this possible," said the Chairman of a local Muslim religious committee.
