Former Pak cricketer Danish Kaneria has said that he used to be mistreated by his teammates just because he is a Hindu. This comes days after former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar said on in a TV debate that Pakistan players had problems eating with Kaneria because of his religion.

"He has spoken the truth. I will reveal the names of players who didn't like to talk to me as I was a Hindu. I didn't have the courage to speak on it, but now I will," Kaneria has been quoted as saying.

Kaneria thanked Akhtar for making the "brave remark".

The Pakistan cricket team has been perceived as too religious/fanatical. Says @GappistanRadio, "How can anyone be surprised with Shoaib Akhtar’s statement and then Kaneria’s confirmation. Why did Youhana become Yousuf and then went so far the other way that he became a total hardliner?"
