The Hindi remake of 'Jersey' will not hit the screens on December 31. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Dil Raju, S Naga Vamsi and Aman Gill, the film has been postponed in view of the aggravating pandemic situation in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
In a statement on Tuesday, the makers said that the postponement has come about in view of the new Covid-19 guidelines. Thanking the audience for showering immense love, the makers urged everyone to please stay safe and healthy.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, the film has Pankaj Kapoor reprising Satyaraj from the Telugu original. The makers have retained Anirudh Ravichander to compose the BGM.
Jersey's postponement is likely to result in many speculations, especially because the crucial market, Delhi, has shut down all theatres from today. A pall of uncertainty is clearly hanging over the cinema industry all over again.
