After the Rajasthan government gave 'Hindi Medium' a tax free status, director Saket Chaudhary says he is glad as it will allow more people to watch it.
"'Hindi Medium' has touched and entertained so many people and this tax free status is a chance for a lot more people to enjoy the film again," Chaudhary said in a statement.
The movie had already got a tax exemption in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. And now that it has been made tax free in lead actor Irrfan Khan's home state, makes it more special for the team.
The film, which also features Saba Qamar, grew on word of mouth, generating profit for the makers, who had made it on a budget of Rs 22 crore.
