What is ‘Hikora’? you have to watch it on silver screen says director of the film Krishna Poorna addressing the media after muhurut of the film at Kanteerava Studio. Challenging star Darshan graced the muhurut of the film because of his gratitude to producer Rathnakka and Sridhar. Darshan stayed in Ninasam theatre group in the past and at that time he had food served by Rathnakka and Sridhar. Because of that gratitude he spent some time at the formal beginning of the film.

Rathnakka and Sridhar are running the Hotel in Ninasam from 1992 to 2004. They have now moved to Gadi Katte and areca nut planter Srikantaiah is to the support of this first time producer. Rathnakka has liked the subject first and it is one year plus work on script she says.  Vinayakram Kalagaru a senior journalist and television content provider co producer of the film for the first time says he has also taken the food of Rathna and Sridhar in Ninasam for a few years.

Director Krishna Poorna said ‘Hikora’ is a psychological suspense thriller – the imagination and reality coming face to face is what the film all about with undercurrent of Yakshagana art form.

Director Krishna Poorna is also director inside the cinema. There will be under current of Yakshagana art form in the film. The shoot is planned maximum in Bengaluru and a small portion in Kodachadri. Majority of shoot takes place in a house.
