Speaking to a TV channel, Puri Jagannadh said that, when his name appeared in connection with the drugs scandal, he wondered if he got any enemies. "The SIT officers during yesterday's interrogation asked me if I have any enemies. I told them I should try to remember if there are any," the star director revealed.
Some people may be jealous of his lifestyle, the 'Paisaa Vasool' director suggested.
Puri wondered as to why some of those in his camp (namely, Charmme, Shyam K Naidu and Mumaith Khan) have been named.
"People remember the crimes of only film personalities. Everyone will tell you Salman Khan killed a black buck. But nobody gives a damn about the thousands of black bucks that have been killed since that incident," Puri pondered.
Puri said that he doesn't think much about anything. "A few years ago, I had mortgaged all my properties. I was left with Rs. 25 lakhs in cash. When a friend came to me seeking help, I gave away almost everything. I then was left with just Rs. 1 lakh," he recalled, mildly getting emotional.
"When I returned from yesterday's interrogation, my wife and daughter hugged me at home. They had feared I might be arrested," Puri recounted.
"I have written a line for one of my next films. Manasshanthi kavalante manushulaki dooranga bathuku.. Ikkada bathakali anukunte matram yuddham cheyali," Puri averred in another context.
