Actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has on Saturday kickstarted his Chalore Chalore Chal Praja Yatra (also referred to as Karuvu Yatra) in Anantapur district.

In his not-so-long speech, Power Star mainly tried to appeal to the sensibilities of the people in this backward region while assuring them that he won't rest come what may. "I come from a farmer's family. I am a farmer myself. I know the problems that the tiller faces," he said.

"Let me do my work. I will take care of everything. I will continue with my work. I will stand with the people of Rayalaseema and Andhra. If you feel like voting for me, cast your vote strongly. Otherwise, not," he said in his typical style.

"I am against all kinds of vote bank politics. I don't know caste, religion, region, etc. I am for people's politics. When they speak of Rayalaseema, its factional politics don't come to my mind. What comes to mind are its great leaders like Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy and its great poets, artists, and folk culture. Seema is not about rivalries as depicted in films," Pawan observed.

"I will work for the people for the next 25 years. They may jail me, they may attack me, they may abuse me; but my resolve can't be affected by any force. If the need be, I will go to Delhi to represent the people of Seema and Andhra regions. I will take the delegations of concerned stakeholders and speak up for you in Delhi. You people carry on with your studies and works," Power Star assured.

"When I speak to experts, they tell me drawing the attention of Prime Minister Modi to the problems will help. I will do the needful. Andhra Pradesh's people have self-respect. I have to conduct myself very carefully with them (leaders in Delhi). My critics may describe me as somebody's agent. I am not anybody's agent," he said.

Pawan once again iterated that he doesn't believe in taking politics to the streets. "I don't want to come out on to the roads. I don't believe in such politics unless we have exhausted all the options. I believe in urging the governments for the right actions, I will make pleas to them. I believe in consensual and constructive politics. I don't fear any kind of attacks on me," he said.

"They tell me that my fans are kids who don't know anything. They say that they have no 'alochana' but only 'avesham'. Such comments hurt me. I believe in the power of our youths. I believe in their 'uduku raktham'. I need the blessings of our women," Pawan thundered.

"I am going to be in public life. I need your blessings," he signed off.
