Power Star's speech at the 'Agnyaathavaasi' audio event was peppered more with his inner journey and the intimate relationship he has had with Trivikram Srinivas.

Here we bring you the highlights of his speech.

1. I want to keep every one of you in my heart. I never expected that I will win this much of affection before entering into films. Even as a child, I always wanted to do good to society. I am fortunate to be doing some good through politics. It's films that have given me a platform to reach out to people.

2. I couldn't see myself doing more than 10 movies. I wanted to quit movies after doing five movies post 'Khushi'. To me, the country is great. But your love has made me do not 10 but 25 of them. I was never depressed by defeat. But I came to know that hatred and jealousy are commonplace. It was then that 'Johnny' failed. But when my fans were hurt because of that failure, I really experienced 'vairagyam'. I wanted to renounce everything and give up cinema. But it's you who have been with me. It's your love and affection that have had me going.

3. Every time I see the Tricolour, my heart swells with pride. It's for my country that I am in politics. The end of every art is social use. Same way, my ultimate aim is to be of use for this society. I may do only 'udatha sahayam'. But I will definitely do something for this society. I am only a 'nimittha matrudu'. But I believe in the power of time and God. No power is mine. I am of no use when I am by myself. I am not afraid of anything but I do go through dejections.

4. When I was down, no friend was by my side. It was Trivikram Srinivas who has always been with me. When you fail, nobody wants to be with you. But Trivikram has always been with me. He would always tell me to come out and do a film. Nobody ever told me that 'Jalsa' did so well and made money for 3 years. I was cut off and was confined myself to four walls. People say that Trivikram garu is my advisor. We both are from a lower-middle-class background.

5. Trivikram is a gold medalist in Nuclear Physics, a great writer, and became a director on his own. He doesn't need me. He is very creative and any hero would be ready to work with me. But the reason he has been with me is that we both think alike. Our thoughts keep us united. We may not be seen around when we succeed. But when we fail, you will see us together. I can be angry with him. I am that close to him. He motivates me by reeling off poetry, for example, of Guntur Seshendra Sharma. I had only tears and pain in me because I think of the world's problems as my own. But when I read Guntur Seshendra Sharma garu, I regained faith in myself to serve our country.
