Speaking at the pre-release event of 'Rangasthalam', Ram Charan was all praise for the film's cast and crew, especially his director Sukumar.
He started thanking the producers for taking care of every little need during the making. "They built around 400 rooms for us on the outskirts of Polavaram," he said.
About cinematographer Rathnavelu, Charan said, "He has shot the village so beautifully. Sukku (Sukumar) had designed the film as a raw and rustic film and the cinematography brought that out." The hero said that the film's fights are so natural that when ten people are fighting, it's as if it happens in real life. "Ram-Lakshman duo conceived the fights in such a natural way," Cherry said.
About Samantha, the Mega Power Star said, "If you observe keenly, whichever hero acts opposite Samantha looks very different. You must have noticed it in Kalyan babai's performance in 'Attarintiki Daredi'. Samantha fills people with energy."
Devi Sri Prasad's "amazing songs" came in for praise. Cherry especially lauded Chandrabose for writing 'Yentha Sakkagunnave' without talking about Rama Lakshmi's physical aspect. "That shows how much he respects the woman," Cherry said.
About Sukumar, he said, "I now know of a new Charan, thanks to this film. By doing 'Rangasthalam', I have started to respect myself more than ever. This has been possible thanks to Sukumar. I miss working with him now that the film is over." The hero joked that he is ready to reshoot for a few scenes if needed. (Was it a subtle dig at Sukumar's penchant for reshoots?).
He added that doing the entertainer gave him the opportunity to experience the beauty of village life. "If Chitti Babu is natural, it's because I observed the innocent people in the villages. They are so pure. I drank the sweet Godavari water and it was great," he said.
