Tamil Nadu reported three new cases of COVID-19 yesterday night and the total positive cases in the state is now at 26. Yesterday morning there were 5 cases of COVID-19 reported and this additional three meant the state recorded highest number of COVID-19 cases in a single day – 8.
The three cases include an 18-year-old male who came in contact with patient 2 who is a hairdresser who took a train from Delhi and reached Chennai on March 12. Patient 2 is now recovering and will be discharged in 2 days.
Of the two other patients one is a 66-year-old Indian who came in contact with two Thai nationals and is undergoing treatment at IRT Perundurai Hospital in Erode. Another patient is a 63-year-old male who returned from Dubai and is at Chennai Walajah government hospital.
