High Court slaps notice on KCR

The Telangana High Court on Tuesday slapped a notice on K Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister. It pertains to an affidavit he filed with the Election Commission ahead of last year's Assembly elections.
As per Srinivas, a petitioner from Gajwel, KCR stated in the affidavit that four criminal cases have been pending against him. The petitioner told the court that the actual number is 64. He urged the court to disqualify KCR as the MLA.
After scrutinizing the relevant documents, the HC has slapped notices on both the CM and the Returning Officer, seeking separate explanations from them.
